Klaviyo Flows empowers marketers to reach subscribers with the right message at the right moment – automatically.
The catch was that setup could be difficult due to the vast number of features, flexibility, and potentially confusing terminology within the tool.
While many managed customers and power users were seeing success with Flows, entrepreneurs and small businesses were struggling to get the most out of it. The goal: Simplify the process of setting up key Flows without compromising the existing flexibility and power of the tool.
1. By taking advantage of free space on the canvas, we can keep new users unblocked with helpful guidance while staying out of the way of experts and power users.
2. At this step, there's only one thing a user can do to progress. If they're still not sure though, there's a contextual help option at the bottom of the left sidebar.
3. Here, a new user may want to take advantage of the contextual help feature to determine whether they want to add a flow filter.
4. Once the trigger is set up, a new canvas clue appears to keep new users unblocked.
4. On this screen, clicking Help will show users brief descriptions of the flow steps listed on the left.
5. From there, it's a simple process to add/edit the first flow step
6. Users click done when they're happy with the content and settings for this step
7. One final canvas clue appears after the first flow step is added to ensure users know how to turn the flow on when they're ready.
1. With the Test feature, we give users the peace of mind that they've set up their Flow correctly
2. By selecting an existing subscriber, users can see how they'd move through the Flow if they met the trigger requirements
3. Flow tests also bring attention to any errors or warnings that the user may want to be aware of or address before turning a Flow on
